"Soaring above the music
like an eagle gliding across the big Texas sky is Trevino's supple
tenor voice, an oh-so-human instrument that beautifully expresses
the bittersweet conundrum that is heartache. Traveling Singing Man
is the sound of Texas dancing and hearts breaking, straight from
the dancehalls to your CD player."
Justin Trevino knows the first and foremost commandment of Texas
country music: keep it real. And that's just what he does on this
debut Lone Star Records album. A native Texan who teethed on records
by Ray and Johnny Bush, Trevino started playing the Austin and Central
Texas honky-tonk circuit at age 13. When not performing with his
own band, Trevino plays bass and sings with Johnny Bush and the
Bandoleros, and frequently guests with Don Walser and the Pure Texas
Band and the Cornell Hurd Band Ü all of whom Trevino has recorded
with. "Travelin' Singin' Man" proves that you can judge a man by
the fine company he keeps. It's a collection of 100-proof Texas
honky-tonk music, from the title song penned by Justin Tubb to the
two duets that Trevino shares with his friend and mentor Johnny
Bush.
Includes Bonus Track: "One More Drink and Then I'll Go", the much-sought-after
radio hit from Trevino's previous self-released CD with no distribution.
