Thirteen Years is a monumental work that came from deep within his soul. The album chronicled his marriage to and break up with his wife Bobbi in the wake of her suicide. It's an album of rare personal confession suffused with courage, empathy and gut-level feeling. (includes bonus Disc)
The additions include instrumental versions of four songs from the album and material from the Watermelon EP "The End/LosingYour Touch" -the two studio title tracks, three live numbers written by Peter Case ("Two Angels"), Ian Hunter ("I Wish I Was Your Mother") and Lou Reed ("Pale Blue Eyes") and a version of "Gravity" by Escovedo's hardrock band Buick MacKane.
